OVERVIEW OF THIS PROGRAM

This program is focused very specifically on helping you learn to READ KANJI. It's designed to help you learn as efficiently and flexibly as possible. The idea is that each time you study, you need to see a mix of kanji you don't know and kanji you know but need to review. It's a waste of time to study kanji you already know well, so it keeps track of how well you know each character and gives you some options so you can study just the important ones.

GETTING STARTED

1. First select your long-term goal. This will give you a pool of kanji that are at about the right level for you. Everytime you study, you'll see kanji from this pool.

2. Next, if you want, you can select a small set of kanji to study today. The first time you use the program, you'll want to study with all new kanji. After you've used it for a while, you'll want to mix in some review, to keep your knowledge fresh.

3. Start studying. The program works like a deck of flashcards. They start out in random order. You work your way through the deck. Look at the kanji and try to remember as much as you can. Click Show to see the details. If you remembered the readings and meanings correctly, then click Right. Otherwise, click Wrong. The cards you get Right will be removed from the deck, leaving only the ones you got Wrong.
